About Brothers Integrated Rural Development Society

Brothers Integrated Rural Development Society

(BIRDS) is the Social organ of Sacred Heart Brothers

formed in the year 1997 with a primary motto to

serve the marginalized communities in Rural and

Urban areas. Sacred Heart Brothers is a registered

society under Karnataka Society Registration

Act in the year 1978 with a number 3/77-78.

At the initial stage the society was doing a lot of

charitable work in the rural Bangalore. Later in

the year 1997 we felt the need to have a separate

unit for the social action, which can promote for

the Community Development of the people as

per the need of time.

BIRDS is dedicated to the empowerment of

the tribal, rural community and slum with

the inclusion of holistic development of the

people without any discrimination on the

bases of caste, religion and social status.

BIRDS projects are completely on child and

women focused community development

works, such as education, health, income

generation, civic amenities and empowerment

of the community. The BIRDS promotes

development and empowerment works on

the light of Sustainable Development Goals

(SDGs) by the united nation. And also the

BIRDS executes its works towards holistic

development of the people by providing SMART

goals (Specific-Measurable-Achievable-Reasonable-

Time bound).
