Our SDG Action on September 25th

Workshop: "Decent work for all: reduction of the wage gap"

Mexico León, Gto., México
Number of people taking this action: 20-50
During this workshop, we will work with children in the 6-9 and 10-12 age groups. The idea is to make a simulation of a small city in which the children themselves have to choose who they want in leadership positions either in government, private sector or academic environments. The idea is to observe if the children make their decisions based on gender biases that they may have learned unconsciously. After this activity, the intention is to make children rethink the notions they may have. This workshop is being offered as a part of the event: "Líderes por un futuro sostenible" or "Leaders for a sustainable future", which is organized by the Intégrate México Foundation.

About General Directorate of Innovation/ Lab León

The General Directorate of Innovation is a local government agency from the Municipality of León, Guanajuato, México. On one hand, we support entrepreneurship and innovation through the creation of networks between entrepreneurs, academic institutions, the corporate sector, research centers, business incubators and any other stakeholders on our city's innovation ecosystem. On the other hand, we work within the local government to implement innovation in the creation of public policies. Lab León, which is a part of the General Directorate of Innovation, is one of the few public innovation laboratories in Mexico and its main focus is to enable the talent of the citizens to generate public value.
