ROSE CBO (Restoration of Sisters in Extreme) community based organization aims to advocate for children, youth and women living in extreme conditions and the ageing in Kenya, East Africa. We recognize that children, youth and women disproportionately bear the burden of gender inequality and poverty, while ageism continues to take root in Kenya. Our hope is to share their stories with leaders and influencers while providing capacity building to empower and mobilize communities. ROSE CBO aims to break the cycle of gender in-equality and ageism. ROSE CBO aims to break the cycle of gender in-equality, ageism and poverty by:
a) Restoring and giving dignity to children, youth, women in slums, prisons, children’s homes and the old including those living with disability etc.
b) Counsel the abused, abandoned and discriminated
c) Provide business and life skills
d) Capacity building through providing access to devolved funds
e) Develop leadership and public speaking skills
f) Advocate for women’s rights on issues of Sexual Health and Gender Equality
g) Teach coping strategies and rehabilitation for cases of Sexual and Gender Based Violence
