This years' second edition of Greenbuilding Week will take place between September 25 and 28. This edition will be aligned with the event of the same name of the World Green Building Council, following the molds of previous editions, 100% online and free !! This time the event will focus completely on sustainable homes. We want everyone, everywhere, to take action and commit to making a change in residential construction. We can do something to make our house a more sustainable, healthy and energy-efficient home. Lets start now! Everyone can do something to make their residence greener. We can not change the world overnight, but we can do our part, however small. You can save energy and money, create a healthier living space, and make the planet a greener, better and safer home for future generations. About Green Building Council Brasil

The Green Building Council Brazil (GBC Brazil) is a non-governmental organization that aims to foster the sustainable construction industry in the country. For this, GBC Brasil has a working partnership with the government and companies; and also in the technical training of professionals; and dissemination of practices of process certification of enterprises.

When the NGO arrived in the country in 2007, the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification began to be implemented in Brazil and today it has significant growth in the sector with more than 500 projects already certified and another 1300 registered in search of the seal. This last number takes Brazil to fourth place in the world ranking of sustainable buildings.

GBC has approximately 800 member companies that support the organization's activities for engaging or seeking to engage in the sustainable construction market, either by adopting green building practices at its facilities or by providing efficient and responsible materials and services socio-environmental point of view.
