About Mesoamerica Integration and Development Initiative

We are a regional platform founded in 2008 by the Heads of State of the ten Member Countries, with the mandate to facilitate dialogue in order to identify common priorities based on development challenges and implement joint projects for results. Thus, we implement development projects in 9 sectors: Health, Disaster Risk Management, Social Housing, Environment, Food & Nutritional Security, Transport, Commercial Facilitation, Energy and Telecommunications from a regional perspective. We implement projects in different cooperation modalities: south-south cooperation, triangular cooperation, traditional aid, concessional loans as well as private development assistance, too. We seek to contribute to effective government institutions by exchanging best practices and lessons learned.
