About Branch Library Thottiyam

Branch Library, Thottiyam, Tamil Nadu Department of Public Libraries comes under School Education department, Government of Tamil Nadu, India. Our Library started in 28 March 1959. We have collections which consists of all subjects with 46905 and 9424 registered members. We have Newspaper reading section, lending section, reference section, Competitive exam section, Internet section etc.

Thottiyam is a panchayat town in Tiruchirappalli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It connects Namakkal-Salem-Bangalore National Highway ( NH 7). It is located near the Kaveri River. Thottiyam is essentially an agricultural area; its main crops are paddy, plantains and petals. Large quantities of plantains and petals are sent to other States, including exports to Middle East. Thottiyam is one largest producer of Banana Fruit in Tamilnadu.
