Meet Colorado State University graduate students Hugo Pantigoso and Savannah Hobbs. Together, they founded The Growing Food Security project to promote food security through horticultural education. 🌿
Using hands-on experience, the project establishes, maintains, and distributes freshly grown produce to the Rams Against Hunger food pantry and other local food security organizations. The fruits and vegetables that they have planted have helped hundreds of other low-income students. 🍋
Last summer, the students grew more than 2,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables for others who depend on the campus food bank! ✨
