Inmates Education Foundation, an NGO based in Lagos, is fostering inclusion by providing formal education to inmates in Nigerian correctional centres.
Since many prisoners in the country are school dropouts or did not previously have access to education, the foundation is specifically targeting this group with the goal of equipping them with skills that ease their reintegration into society. Offers for inmates include general literacy courses, advanced education and trainings on digital literacy skills.
This NGO’s work therefore directly advances SDGs 4 and 10 on Quality Education and Reducing Inequalities and spreads a message of hope.
