Let’s Do It World: World Cleanup Day

Let’s Do It World is an international organization that tackles the environmental challenges related to the global mismanaged solid waste problem, by mobilizing millions of positive-minded people to participate in coordinated local and global actions.

Let’s Do It World connects and empowers people and organizations to encourage positive change for smarter choices in design, production, consumption, and resource management. The member organizations and representatives are in more than 150 countries.

Let’s Do It World began in Estonia in 2008 when 50,000 people came together to clean up the entire country in just five hours. Today, Let’s Do It World coordinates World Cleanup Day – the largest single peacetime civic action in human history, aimed at raising awareness of the scale of the global mismanaged waste crisis threatening the environment and the lives of millions of people.

World Cleanup Day on 21 September 2019 united 21,2 million people across 180 countries and territories for the biggest waste collection day in human history. This year World Clean Up Day on 19 September will engage millions around the world in digital cleanup and individual cleanup actions! More information: www.worldcleanupday.org
