The largest project of Let’s Do It World is World Cleanup Day, which takes place on the third Saturday of each September. On this day, Let’s Do It World engages volunteers and partners worldwide to clean up litter and mismanaged waste from beaches, rivers, forests, and communities. World Cleanup Day on 15 September 2018 had nearly 18 million participants from 157 countries, and on 21 September 2019 united more than 21 million people in cleanup activities in 180 countries. In 2020, the World Cleanup Day took place despite COVID-19 restrictions: more than 11 million people from 166 countries cleaned their communities, either in small groups or individually.
To move towards a waste-free world and survive as humankind we need something we still lack in the world – deep and trustful cooperation between governments, civil society and corporations. Let’s Do It World leaders have become a force that binds together groups, individuals, and organizations that would otherwise never dream of working towards the same goal.
Let’s Do It World believes that change can be achieved by taking action together through positive collaboration. The Let’s Do It World Headquarters are based in Estonia.
