Don Bosco Green Alliance is an international collective of young people from Don Bosco Institutions and Organizations, that contributes to global environmental action, thought and policy.
Our mission is to create an environment that is safe and caring for all life on the planet, while building up a new generation of environmentally committed citizens and leaders.
We presently focus on three priority areas: combatting pollution, reducing global warming and eliminating disposable plastic. In each of these areas, we are in sync with ongoing global campaigns promoted by the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) or other international organizations. We have set specific targets to be achieved for each of the campaigns that we engage in.
Our three priority areas are aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 7 (Affordable & Clean Energy), 13 (Climate Action) and 14 (Life Below Water). We are currently growing our network of members of Salesian institutions all over the world. Presently, we have 55 members institutions from 20 countires as part of the Alliance.
We aim to create awarness leading up to the Global Day to Act4SDGs with our institutions and organisations to align their activities with Sustainable Development Goals, especially the ones that the Alliance focuses on for environmental action, thought and policy.
