About Dalit NGO Federation

Dalit NGO Federation (DNF), established in 1998, is an umbrella organization of nearly 350 Dalit NGOs spread all over the country. Currently, DNF has five Regional Committee (RCs) and 18 District Chapters (DCs) to work with its member organizations throughout the country. The main aim of DNF is fighting together against untouchability, all forms of caste-based discrimination and poverty.

It is a common forum for raising collective voices of Dalit community to ensure their rights, dignity and opportunity through policy influencing, networking and alliance building, rights based advocacy and sustainable development approach are the basic guiding principles of this federation. Since its establishment, DNF has been playing vital role to lobby with National and International level to raise collective voice for elimination caste/racial discrimination, inequality, social injustice, poverty alleviation and promotion and protection of Dalit Human Rights with different approach, climate change and sustainable development of community.
