As Charmosas is a non-governmental organization (NGO), located in the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro neighborhood of Engenho da Rainha that operates in the communities of Engenho da Rainha, Complexo do Alemão, Morro do Juramento areas dominated by rival factions and drug trafficking since (Samba and Hip-Hop) with its illustrious residents such as Carlota Joaquina, Índios Tamoios, Pixinguinha, Zé Ketti, Dona Ivone Lara, Clementina de Jesus, among others. their stories of overcoming and entrepreneurship can inspire local social actors.
The neighborhood of Engenho da Rainha still has an environmental preservation that is the mountain of mercy that unfortunately is being devastated, a place that inhabited by the Tamoios Indians
The NGO acts in the realization of seminars, lectures and creation of cultural and social movements, sustainable events, educational and entrepreneurship actions, equality of opportunities and women's rights, the black population and the peripheral youth our tool are projects of high impact for fashion , art, culture, music and education based on the concepts of sustainability, creative and collaborative economy. With this inclusion model we have taken various actions to favelas and peripheries throughout the State of Rio de Janeiro.With the partnership of the RIO + / UNDP Center of the United Nations (United Nations) has also been working on the holding of Conversation Wheels, presenting the 17 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
