To celebrate the sixth anniversary of the subscription of the 2030 Agenda, AsviS and Federcasse, Confcooperative, NeXt Nuova Economia per Tutti, SEC Scuola di Economia Civile are organizing the musical show 'Word. Notes, voices and thoughts in search of meaning’, scheduled for September 25 in Florence, Piazza della Signoria.
In the event, which is part of the National Festival of Civil Economy and in collaboration with Sustainable Development Festival, Diodato, Coma Cose e La Rappresentante di Lista will perform presented by Michele Placido and Giovanni Caccamo.
The Festival of Civil Economy gives a voice to a wide civil society that contributes to change and to create sustainable value.
The concert will be introduced by Pierluigi Stefanini and Marcella Mallen, Presidents of ASviS, and Leonardo Becchetti Director of the National Festival of Civil Economy and Co-founder of NeXt Nuova Economia per Tutti and Marina Ponti Director of the UNSDG Action Campaign.
"Set your Agenda: #TurnItAround" is the new call to action of the Sustainable Development Festival which aims to mobilize civil society on a national level to tell stories on social media about their own experiences, projects and commitments for a sustainable recovery. All it takes to participate is to creatively share posts on financial, social and environmental sustainability through a social media communication kit. The Italian Sustainable Development Festival, the largest initiative promoting the 2030 Agenda in the country, will open on September 28, coinciding with the closure of the Global Week of Action.
During the opening event, the 6th ASviS Annual Report on the SDGs will be presented, highlighting the international community's commitment, the actions taken by the EU and an analysis of the Italian progress with respect to the achievement of the SDGs. The report contains statistical models and policy recommendations on what should be done to ensure a sustainable recovery that leaves no one behind.
The report will be presented to the Italian government; Marina Ponti, director of the UN SDG Action Campaign, will also participate to provide a link between the Festival and the Global Week of Action.
The event will be broadcast on ASviS’ official social channels and will offer an inspiration for a more sustainable future.
The yearly Sustainable Development Festival returns with the fifth edition from September 28th to October 14th 2021 throughout Italy and online. The largest Italian awareness raising campaign dedicated to the SDGs reaches millions of people every year through hundreds of initiatives including conferences, concerts and much more. "Set your Agenda: Let's #TurnItAround" is the the claim of the 2021 edition and it invites everyone to mobilize for a sustainable recovery.
For the first time this year the Festival will be inaugurated on the 28th of September with the presentation of the ASviS Annual Report on the SDGs with representative of the Italian government and the UN SDG Action Campaign Director Marina Ponti. Moreover, the Festival will see the involvement of the Italian embassies.
Last year, for the second time, the Festival was selected among the finalists of the SDG Action Awards as an innovative initiative and a unique experience worldwide.
