SDG Student Ambassador Campaign

Belgium Antwerp
Number of people taking this action: 50-250
For the past 3 years we launch the SDG Student Ambassador Campaign during the onboarding days. These are the days when the new full time master students start their academic year. We encourage them to register as a SDG Student Ambassador voluntarily next to their course work. They come up with their own projects that they want to do during their year at AMS, or we give them some ideas. The whole idea is based upon student empowerment: give them information and inspiration so that they come up with their own contributions and stimulate them to reflect critically on their projects. Example of projects are  - SDG Debate night: they organise a debate night and invite speakers and participants on SDG related themes - SDG training in primary and secondary schools - they get a train the trainer from us and then develop their own training on the SDGs and go out in primary and secondary schools to deliver these - a 40 days without meat campaign for faculty, staff and students - a SDG movie night  and many more. This year we have over 100 students (more than half our total student base) registered in 25 projects
