Our SDG Action

Sharing the SDGs locally

Australia Illawarra Shoalhaven
Number of people taking this action: 20-50
On the 25th September, HCI will be incorporating the global SDG narrative into every program we deliver to the local community and share these actions through our social media channels. This will raise awareness of the SDGs at a grassroots level and encourage participants to take action in their own way in pursuit of the ambitious global goals.

About Healthy Cities Illawarra

Healthy Cities Illawarra (HCI) works to promote and improve the health, physical environment and quality of life of the people of the Illawarra. HCI is a community based non-profit, non-government organisation and represents the Illawarra Shoalhaven region as a member of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) global Healthy Cities movement, which was established to approach public health in a more holistic, community-centred way. HCI was founded in November 1987 and operates throughout the local government areas of Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama and Shoalhaven. HCI has a proven track record of working in partnership with community, business and government to conduct projects on a wide range of health, social and environmental issues.
