Most of us love chocolate. But many consumers don’t know, the production of chocolate has its dark sides too. Behind the tasty stuff are dumping prices, dramatically bad working conditions or even child work. This happens thousands of kilometres far off in the producer countries. Our simulation game about trading of cacao gives opportunity to experience these global contexts. So can raise questions what we and civil society can do to improve the situation. With our trainings we make the facts about chocolate and cacao production better known to young people. Moreover we inform about alternatives like Fair Trade and other. The simulation game gives a possibility to a creative and experiential learning about the topic. The participants will be able to guide young people through the game themselves. To that we play the game and after we will evaluate it in the group. More Information (German language): https://www.oekohaus-rostock.de/planspiel_kakao/
